WHY DO YOU USE COMMON HARDWARE?
There are a couple of reasons we use common hardware. In the event a piece is lost or damaged, the piece can easily be replaced without special ordering the part. Second, although there are other quick release fasteners available, we are careful to choose the piece of hardware that provides the safest and most secure connection for the specific application. Finally, by using hardware we can control critical dimensions and tolerances that are important to the proper function of our tower stands.

WHY DO YOU USE GALVANIZED PIPE AND TUBING FOR YOUR LEGS?
Primarily for durability and longevity. Sure, we could powder coat our legs, and will on a special order basis, but by using galvanized pipe our material and handling cost are greatly reduced and we are able to pass that savings onto our customers while still delivering a solution with anti-corrosive properties.

WHY DO YOU USE EXTERNAL SNAP PINS?
External snap pins provide a more secure connection, and once again, are readily available and easily replaced. An added bonus is that if one is lost in the “field,” pardon the pun, you can easily substitute an appropriate bolt until it can be replaced.

WHY DO YOU USE GALVANIZED CONDUIT FOR YOUR CROSS BRACES?
We use common EMT conduit that can be found at any electrical supply store if a piece is lost or damaged.

WHY DO YOU USE SO MANY TIE-IN TUBES?
Tie-in Tubes are an important feature of our stands. By welding wherever it is practical and using tie-ins, we can transfer the strength obtained through welding throughout the entire stand resulting in unbelievable rigidity. For example, we could eliminate two tie-ins in the roof but we chose not to for the reason just given and because they prevent sag due to ice and snow accumulation.

WHY DO YOU USE A SYNTHETIC COVER?
Composite, wood, and aluminum box blinds can be noisy and produce unnatural sounds. By using a lightweight poly-denier material we are able to provide a cover in different camouflage patterns that protects you from the elements and allows you to hear sounds naturally as they occur.

WHY DO YOU BOLT ON SOME OF YOUR PLATES AND BRACKETS?
By bolting on certain plates and brackets we are able to achieve the desired collapsibility that makes our stands so portable and versatile.

WHY DO YOU USE A COMPOSITE FLOOR INSTEAD OF EXPANDED METAL WHICH IS LIGHTER?
We have tried both. The expanded metal is considerably lighter but the special Advantek composite floor that we use is the most moisture-resistant commercial sheeting material available today and it is quieter and provides greater warmth. This is especially important in Alberta! And besides, hunters prefer it!

WHY DO YOU USE STEEL INSTEAD OF ALUMINUM?
Regardless of what you heard, aluminum although it is over half the weight of steel, it is not just as strong. Now titanium... that is a different story. Seriously though, there are different design challenges specific to aluminum that you don’t have with steel. And besides, it would be very expensive.

WHY DO YOU PROVIDE SO MANY DIFFERENT MODELS?
We manufacture different models to meet our customers’ specific needs. An outfitter may need several stands for their property, as many as 25, 50, or even 100. So we created a stand, the Outfitter, that is affordable without sacrificing comfort, portability, and value. The PackHunter is for the outdoorsman who just can’t be slowed down. Like the Wolf, he is always on the move so the PackHunter is a lightweight and totally collapsible stand. Bow hunters require a specially designed larger platform, the result being the 5’x5’ BowHunter model. Finally the ProHunter, our most popular stand, allows space for two people. This is ideal for the professional hunters who film each other’s hunts or for the father and son who want to hunt safely together.
